Francis Ballard

Sir

I had a talk with Billy
Williams on yesterday he Informed me that
your man Gregory had told him some time
Back that he had sold articles from the place
to the amount of some three Hundred Dollars and
that he wanted him (Williams) to take the money
and Keep it untill you came home Williams refused
and advised him to put it in Bank to your
Credit whether he has done so or not we do not
Know Williams says that Gregory is in Town frequently
at night and he understands gambles and lost
on one ocasion some $90:00. how true it is
I am not able to say although I supose it is
the case as Williams told me of it for the purpose
of telling you Know. I have heard a great deal
about him since you left But he is such a harem
scarem fellow that is impossible to tell or Know
much about his Business I know nothing of my
own Knowledge although I have tried to learn
whether he is doing right or wrong for you I
supose you will be up soon and see to it yourself
Every Body in good Health Know news worth
namieing Give my Respects to Mrs. Ballard Except them
