Dear Sir

I have taken your passage
on the Steamer Empress She leaves here Friday
Evening and will be at Warrenton by three
OClock Sunday morning. that will be before
daylight Sunday your birth is No. 12. lower
birth I am not able to get off yet but
will I think during next weak my case
before the US. Court will be argued to morrow
I want to wait the decision of the Court &
I have some [moneyed?] matters here to attend
to & two negros to sell & consequently you
you need not wait for me I know you
want to see your family & you are ready
& the boat is new & a very good one She
will take on several families above Vicksburg
in Millikens Bend all well
