Needs Review

Louisville 19th July 53

Dear Col I have nothing of interest to communicate, everything is quiet here, our friend B I Adams was thrown from his buggy a few days since, a few black eyes, &c about all the damage, fortunately. we have great excitement in the Ashland district. I was up on Friday remained one night and heard of at least ten thousand dollars, bet in 12 hours, both parties seemed determined to win the day. I will start for Grayson, leave &c a few day after our election, make my respects to your family, Col Christy & family and have me a nice sweet heart ready I will be in a good fix for counting when I go down.
