OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR
Raleigh, North Carolina
August 15th, 1938.

The Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of North Carolina met at three P.M. on the above date, with the following present: Governor Hoey, presiding, Miss Easdale Shaw, Messrs. Chas. Whedbee, Irvin B. Tucker, Leslie Weil, Clarence Poe. President Graham, Controller Woollen and Dean Harrelson were also present.

Those absent were: Messrs. Parker, H., Parker, John J., John S. Hill, Josephus Daniels, W.D. Faucette, Walter Murphy, and Mrs. Laura W. Cone.

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, and on motion the reading of the Minutes of the last meeting was dispensed with.

Controller Woollen read an offer of the United States of America to aid by way of grant in financing the construction of additions and improvements to waterworks, beating and power systems. After discussion of the offer, the following Resolution, entitled, "A Resolution Accepting the Offer of the United States to the University of North Carolina to Aid by Way of Grant in Financing the Construction of Additions and improvements to Waterworks, Heating and Power Systems", was proposed by Mr. Whedbee, and read in full:

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF THE UNITED STATES TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA TO AID BY WAY OF GRANT IN FINANCING THE CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS TO WATERWORKS, HEATING AND POWER SYSTEMS.

Be it resolved by the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the University of North Carolina:

Section 1. That the offer of the United States of America to the University of North Carolina to aid by way of grant in financing the construction of additions and improvements to waterworks, heating and power systems, a copy of which reads as follows:
