coupon bond and of or on account of the principal of and the interest on any temporary bond without coupons shall be made only to or upon the order of the registered owner thereof or his legal representative, but such registration may be changed as hereinabove provided. All such payments shall be valid and effectual to satisfy and discharge the liability upon such bond to the extent of the sum or sums so paid. The Board and the Paying Agents may deem and treat the bearer of any definitive coupon bond which shall not at the time be registered as to principal, and the bearer of any coupon appertaining to any definitive coupon bond whether such bond shall be registered as to principal or not, as the absolute owner of such bond or coupon, as the case may be, whether such bond or coupon shall be overdue or not, for the purpose of deceiving payment thereof and for all other purposes whatsoever, and the Board and the Paying Agents shall not be affected by any notice to the contrary.

Section 207. The construction of the Project is hereby authorized and, for the combined purpose of refunding the outstanding 1956 bonds and the outstanding 1960 bonds and, with other available funds, paying the cost of the Project, there shall be issued, under and pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of North Carolina, including Sections 116-187 to 116-198, inclusive, of the General Statutes of North Carolina, revenue bonds of the Board in the aggregate principal amount of Seven Million Twenty-nine Thousand Dollars ($7,029,000), dated November 1, 1963 and designated "The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Dormitory System Revenue Bonds of 1963" (herein sometimes called the "1963 bonds"), said bonds to be issued in Series as follows:

(Endorsement upon Bonds)

PROVISIONS FOR REGISTRATION

This bond may be registered as to principal alone on books of the Board of Trustees of The University of North Carolina kept by the Treasurer of said Board, as Bond Registrar, upon presentation thereof to the Bond Re gistrar who shall make notation of such registration in the registration blank below, and this bond may thereafter be transferred only upon an assignment duly executed by the registered owner or his attorney or legal representative in such form as shall be satisfactory to the Bond Registrar, such transfer to be made on such books and endorsed hereon by the Bond Registrar. Such transfer may be to bearer and thereby transferability by delivery shall be restored, but this bond shall again be subject to successive registrations and transfers as before.
