Hillsborough 27th. December 1795. Received of Walter
Alves late Treasurer to the Board of Trustees of the University of North Caro-
-lina, the sum of Eight hundred and forty three pounds eighteen shillings
and one penny, being the balance of Cash in his hands as Treasurer as
aforesaid, as per Account his day render'd and filed in my office.. Receiv'd
also funded Stock to the amount of Two thousand seven hundred and
six Dollars and forty one Cents, viz, one Certificate for twelve hundred
and two Dollars and eighty six Cents, 6 pr. Cent Stock . one for nine hundred
and two Dollars and thirteen Cents, 3 pr. Cent Stock, and one for Six hun-
-dred and forty one dollars and forty two Cents, deferr'd debt; being the amt.
of the Certificates standing to his credit as Treasurer to the [niversity, on the
Books of the Loan Office of the United States for the District of North Ca0
-rolina: for which Certificates a power of Attorney and writing of transfer
have been made me - The Interest having been paid thereon up to the
31st. day of October 1794 inclusive only -
