Gentlemen
We mention to you as candidates for the office of Tutor in our University [illegible] M [illegible] and Abner [illegible] both graduates at this commencement. They are both young gentlemen in [whole?] literary qualifications we have full confidence & with a separate application we should be satisfied with either of them as Tutor. Mr. [illegible] disposition and determination however to study Theology is a cir cumstance which will always have great weight with us in such appointments - Mr [illegible] is a moral young gentle man respectful in his attention to religious publix services You will pledge to decide & appoint as you in your wisdom shall see fit.
