The same Journal & Leger have
been kept to the present day:
And for the last 44 years all the
entries in these Books are the
exclusive work of Daniel Du 'Pre
a Clerk in the Bank of the State.

Genl. Robert Williams the
Successor of Mr. Alan employed
Mr Du 'Pre for this service in the
year 1809 & he has been retained as
Book Keeper by the present incumbent
since he came into the office
without cost to the trustees.

In these Books a seperate
account is opened with each
branch of Revenue & general
head of expense: & also with each
individual Debtor; wherein is
distinctly charged the debt of
whatever nature & all payments
on whatever account are duly
credited.

The various items of the Treasurer's
annual accounts of Receipts & Disbursements,
as audited & passed upon
Committees of the Board from
year to year are herein posted
in detail, after the final
adjournment of each Annual
Meeting: And these items are
then transferred by double entry
to their appropriate Heads in
the Leger; thus exhibiting
