My dear Sir March 8/55

I am in the receipt of your [f covering a ] to appointing me Attorney [ ] for the University of NC for the Counties of Carteret, Craven & Onslow.

I practice law in the County of Carteret, Craven, Jones & Lenoir & do not [regularily] atend Onslow County.

I accept with pleasure the appointment for Carteret and Craven hoping that I may do the University some service in those Counties & also [ ] of the others of my circuit if the University so desires.

I would [ ] the appointments of [ ] Attorney for the County or Onslow - he [ ] the County Johnston [ ] & would attend faithfully to the interests of the University. - Very truly yours Jimmy W. Rayor
