already too much occupied to
undertake to perform the duties
of county Escheator, as pointed
out inthe ordinances of the
Trustees I can assure you
that I would most cheerfully
render any aid in my power
to advance the interest of our
University, and of these as to
be a county Escheator besides the
attorney for the county Then I
would willingly render any
aid in my power s attorney for
the University in collecting these
claims & in attending to their interests
in the county, but if I am expected
as attorney to give my personal
attention to the duties imposed upon
a county Escheator by the 4 or 5 [?]
names of the trustees, then I decline

I could perhaps procure some
vigilant person in my name to make
all the [examinations?] & searches [required?]
