Frances spirits are much better than they have been
but she has not professed conversion yet, her friends
were very uneasy about her at one time she was so
much distressed because she could not feel that
change she thought was necessary. I saw her last week
she look much better than she has done since the
birth of her child. I have not seen Sister Asia
but twice, since you left us she has not been
to see me, and is very domestic I expect for I scarcely
ever hear of her going any where.
Brother Henry appears more cheerful now than he
has done, I think he regrets selling his land very
much he has not been able to purchase a place
yet, intends breaking up the baby will live with
Sister, Austin and Kemp with us the two oldest he
will send to school He will divide his time
amongst us, but will stay more with Bet at Brother
William's than any where else I expect, he seems more
attached to her than ever, you know she was always
his favourite child, she made a very nice fortunate escape
the other day her clothes caught on fire and were
burnt very badly indeed and she was not hurt, she
was at her father's at the time it happened.
I have not seen the children since the alarm of the
small pox we were afraid to leave home in some time
but it is thought there is no danger at this time I expect
you have heard of its being in Warrenton before this, I did not
