have.- really we must annoy you greatly. ------ Sam Phillips
wrote me a very polite note last Friday, requesting the Manuscript of
your address - he wished to send it to Raleigh by that mail - I sent to Mr. G
for it, but he said he was not quite done with it, that he would send it over to
Mr. P - in a very short time - I suppose he did so, for I have heard no more about
it. --- There is but little news stirring none that would interest you. My old
friend Mrs Collier is expected to die with Pleurisy - I promised the boys to tell you that
Mr Wilson said William & Crockett scarcely ever fail. & Richard never does - this is
the expression as well as I can recollect - Your boy Wesley is exercising his lungs - so
I must bid you adieu & take him - May the Lord protect & keep you is the
