Two years since, I became acquainted with this little book. Its pure diction, its affecting simplicity, its exalted sentiment and its pathetic reverence linked it to the memory of thyself. Often have I dwelt with pleasure on its pages, while thy fair form, fancy caught, hovered over my mind, creating soft, genial sensations, like "sweet memories of home."
