time- I will write for what you want as
soon as I think there will be any chance to send
them up from this place-

I have just bought from Richard two shares of the
Wilmington Rail road stock for which I gave $95
per share- He has been buying stock in the Raleigh
& Gaston Rail road, but I prefer the other-

I handed the note enclosed by Miss Sally to Judge Pearson,
and he told me last night that he had sent a
small bundle to Mr. Gerion to be sent up to her- It
is directed, I believe to the care of the Burton Utley- She
had better be on the look out for it-

We are getting on rather slowly with the arguments just
now- One case took up Monday and Tuesday, and after
a short argument on another case yesterday we took up
the Outlaw will case, and I doubt whether it will
be closed before to-morrow evening- I think it probable
that we shall be kept here a week or two longer
than we were twelve months ago-

I have been writing in a great hurry to be ready for
Sam, should he call as he promised-

Give my best love to all- You had better not buy
more corn than five barrels at a time- It will be
more likely to fall than to rise in the Spring-
Tell Kemp I will pay his account at Harding's- He may
pay Mr. S.F. Phillips half the amount paid by Perry
for his tuition last session- When I get a little
more leisure, I will write Kemp and suggest something
in relation to his future course- Let me know as soon as
you receive this- Your's truly as ever
