Sought freedom by leaving Gowrie Plantation (Ga.) in February 1862. He lived in the swamps of South Carolina's coast and returned a year later to Gowrie Plantation (Ga.).

Trafficked in Savannah (Ga.) from the Manigault family at Gowrie Plantation (Ga.) to an unnamed enslaver of Columbus (Ga.) in September 1863.
