Mr. Izard's papers in the Book Case in the Library
are chiefly such as were written before he went
to Congress in .
Those in the Trunk in this Room were written
while he remained in Congress, as were some
of those in this Book Case; but the greatest
part of those in this Book Case have been written
since his return to Charleson.
Be so good as to send me a description of the Tablet, when
you receive it, & let it be put up as soon as you can; but
not until the season is proper for your going to the Country
Remember that it is necessary to ask leave of the Vestry to
have it put up. Capt. McNeil will probably bring
the mourning rings I have sent for, & a Letter
