T. 20 Killed a squirel and some peckers, dug in spring - warm and water low.

W. 21 Warm killed 2 squirrels, a very good rain P. M. getting out wheat. Cut Ulyses Jaw.

Th. 22 Good shower of rain today and yeaterday. Ira Lynch died last night

F. 23 Cloudy went for buds of apple trees and inocculated wt June, queen, and some other kinds.

S. 24 Inocculated more trees on the hill, some in apple, and some in black locust. Made ramrod.

S. 25 Heard Donnell, Walker, and Boram at Cedar-creek. T. Edwards dined wt us, left book

M. 26 Hot weather, sold Henry, for .Wadkins, whisky 12 1/2 cts worth. Kill'd squirrel and pecker. J. T's

T. 27 Very warm and dry began to get timbers for porch. Spooled some truck for [word illegible]

W. 26 Went to Methodist meeting a young man preached well and Tucker exhorted, apropos.

T. 29 Confined two steers by the head for the purpose of breaking to yoke

F. 30 Killed 5 squirrels, Mr and Mrs Trout here, a greet appearance of rain - [page torn]

S. 1. Alarming drought here, no preaching near, we went to Spring-Creek, very warm

T. 3. Foggy again, Jack went early to Leb. wt watermelons, returned plowed young corn and turnip patch

W. 4. Becoming dry again. Went Leb. Pd S. and B. 1 dollar, lent 12 1/2 cts and 12 1/2 for a C. fish

W. 11 Fair. Went Mrs Campbell's heard of the death of James A. Templeton, heard Martin preach

Th. 12 Slept alone last night wife at Mthr's. Raised Piaza frame excessively hot weather

F. 13. Warm, fenced in spring. Dooly and Jackson were to be married last night. Thunder [page torn]

S. 22 Meeting again heard Hooker, Flowers andDurham. Extremely dry and dusty

M. 23 Work with Lamkin at piaza: nothing new, Eli Harris call returning from Leb.

T. 24 Continued dry and warm, some thunder light showers, not laying dust

W. 25 Went to mill, and bot 170 feet wetherboarding and 25 feet floring plank amt $l.55 3/4

M. 30 Cloudy and bery warm, some rain. Went Adams to Leb. bot 1 pound lead for .6 1/4 cents

T. 31 Went E Harris' last nightfrom thence by Campbells and More's to Rome thence by Shelton home at night having collected $211.90 thus ended Aug with this page etc

1830 September 10th Autumanl month, and 9th of the year.

W. 1 Went Dudley's, killed a squirrel, went for Mr. Hamilton's book, Doddridge on Reg.

Th. 2 Clear and dry. Mrs. Troutt, and her daughter Anna Delles here all day nothing new

F. 3 Do. and do. put fire in old logs in field which runs to fence and burns many pannels
