I find that Mr. Edward Moore seems to be in an Imbarresd situation Col. Matthew Moore addres'd a letter to you at Hils Borough yesterday relative to his Business with the Trustees of the University and with necessary papers if accomadation col'd be had either from the trustees or bank which letter is in the Posession of your Lady I shold be glad that no proceedings wold be taken against him untill you see that letter as Col Moore Wm. Moore and myself intend to pay all of his depts if we can be accommodated I am yours with Esteem &c Thomas Ruffin Esq Johnson Clement
