Festive and Musical.

Among the best singers and musicians in the State of Nevada, are those of our fellow citizens who come from the happy land of Cornwall. And it is not straining a compliment to say this. They are among the hardest workers, below or above ground, yet are never so tired that they cannot sing, especially when a lot of tuneful spirits among them get together. Last Saturday being the birthday of three of Austin's Cornish citizens, they in accordance with the annual custom adopted by the trio, called a number of their friends together to help them celebrate, meeting at the dwelling of one of the three. There they enjoyed themselves hugely, with excellent music, some particularly fine singing of glees, carols, ballads, character songs, an occasional dance, recitations, etc., and a good time generally. And they had plenty of choice eatables and drinkables, and kept up their festivities till away past midnight. One seldom hears better singing than was given on this occasion,
