Same -- Rose at 5:30 by mistake, having glanced at my watch and thinking it was 6:30 -- As the train leaves at 7:20 I fixed up as fast as possible & rushed for the depot -- When I got there I found I was just an hour ahead of time -- Went back up town, got breakfast and at 7:20 left for Reno -- Slept most of the way -- found all right at home -- Millie still sick at Lindsay's and mother over there taking care of her --

Cornelia with Card 93 deg Austinites

Found letter from Cornelia for me, enclosing a beautiful birthday card for me -- Staid at home -- Hot day -- 83 deg -- On the train coming down, after left Steamboat, met "Gov Nye" and old mining friend in Austin -- He has made a raise of a few thousand dollars, in the "[???] Queen" mine and is going east to Cape Cod, where he was born on a visit -- Bruce a other Austin miner was with him -- They went up the sidealk with us, & we met O'Neil, another Austinite & we all had a drink together -- At 8 in the Evening, wife, Bessie & I went down to the RR depot to see

Rozzie Gray Old Man Gray dead

"Rozzie" Gray who told by letter to wife that she was to pass through from visit East, to her home in San Leandro, Cal, where her husband, W Harrison Gray is -- We found her & had a nice sisterly & brotherly chat with her for half an hour, while the train stopped for dinner -- Saw her off all right on her journey -- Bed
