Wednesday March 2

Same -- Rose at 8 -- At 9:30 was with the rest of the Pioneer crowd & our picture taken standing on the Capitol steps, South side -- Big group -- about 30 in it -- Took evening train for Va -- Wrote up the Pioneer banquet -- Nearly 2 columns -- Bed at 5 --

Thursday March 3

Variable -- Sixtieth and last day of the Session -- Both Houses industrious so that they recessed at 4 PM -- Evening session -- both house -- Assembly at 7, and Senate at 7:30 -- lots of spectators -- "Third House" occasionally in the short recesses which were taken while waiting for messages from either House -- Bob Briggs of White Pine and Sharon of Storey were the presiding officers of the 3d House -- by turns -- Very funny -- At 12 the gavels fell and the 13th Nevada Legislature adjourned sine die -- I went up to Lieut Gov Davis' house to reception of legislators -- State officers etc -- Collation, punch, wine, etc -- Big crowd -- Left there at 2 Bed at
