Delightful -- same as yesterday -- Cool, clear sunshine -- about 70 -- Met Henry Shaw Smith who arrived on the train today -- He is recently from Sydney, where he is engaged in the hardware business & rich -- Been there last 10 years -- Old timer here -- Used to be part owner and in charge of the Ophir Grade toll road -- I cruised about town with him talking over old times & taking a look at things generally -- Dined with him at City Bakery -- & was with him during evening -- Home at 12 -- Bed 1 --
