Same -- 75[?] -- Big fire at 2 PM -- Rosenbaum's furniture store on east side of C st short distance north of Taylor st -- completely gutted and adjoining wooden

buildings on D st badly scorched -- whole loss $15,000 or more -- My new son-in-law Ed Corcoran came from Reno this PM in a carriage bringing advance people of a circus [Porepaugh's] He found me at my room at 6 PM -- We were together during evening about town -- Bed at 12 with me --

Friday July 27

Same -- Morning I showed Ed the city -- as he was never here before -- took him to the corporation House, Along B & down C sts -- Can Va works, etc -- Breakfast with me at the French Rotisserie -- At 3 PM he left for Reno -- Light 2 seated wagon & 2 horses -- Sent bundle of dirty clothes etc -- Evening theater -- Play of "She", by the Webster-Brady Co -- Very trashy -- Miss Laura Biggar leading lady -- Fair house -- Bed 1 --
