Variable & chilly -- Evening met Harry Summers and WIll Gaige (son of my old friend MM Gaige, deceased) from Carson & was with them awhile -- Bed 1 --

Clear & pleasant -- Was at room most of day writing for W P Bennett - "Some Fast Trips" -- Bed at 1 --

Variable -- Finished up my Bennett writing to date -- Evening at meeting of my lodge for first time in nearly or quite a year -- About town afterward -- Bed 1 --

Clear & pleasant -- Delivered to Bennett his writings done by me, including a letter to the SF Examiner with matter for publication -- As compensation for my work to date he agreed to pay $15.50 to Bill James Secy of Centennial, my present assessment, delinquent last Monday -- All have paid so there will be no delinquent list published -- Received today at the PO from Director of the US Mint Leech his
