AM clear, cold and blustering -- PM moderate & pleasant -- Wrote letter to wife, & one to Kinzle -- Bed 12
Saturday March 30
Clear & pleasant -- PM and evening was wth Charley [Conwell?], the Va dentist, raised in Gold Hill, opposite News office -- Bed at 1 --
Sunday March 31
The same -- PM I was busy tracing a map of Carson river, & especially the milling sections of it, Brunswick, [?], Vivian, etc -- Worked in the rear part of the Assessor's office -- about 4 hours -- made good job of it -- Bed at 12 --
Sprinkling Cart started -- New Pants -- 1895

Variable, blustering, dusty -- The sprinkling cart got into operation this PM, for the first time this season -- PM I was busy in Cutting's office/ Wrote letter to Andrew Nicholls, Los Angeles, and to PJ Keyes, 652 Mission st, San Francisco. Put on my new $6.50 pants this PM, that I bought at Abe Cohn's a few days ago. Think I shall wear them right straight along. Bought a pair at same place 2 yrs ago & worn them ever since -- Evening about town -- Bed 12 --
