Same -- Sent letter to Shuck about State Prison record regarding the James Smiths only 2 -- Bed 12 -- The one suspected case of smallpox at the Indian school developed or broke out as a full reality today, and was sent to the pest house, making 12 in all -- None others show symptoms -- I received a season ticket to the State Fair, from the Sec'y J F Ernmitt today -- "Account of Press" -- Jewish New Year today --

Clear & cold -- plenty of ice formed last night all over town -- Sent letter to Miller -- also to Powning acknowledging receipt of Fair ticket -- Bed 12 -- freezing -- My hay fever is evidently well -- all gone -- did not have it over 3 or 4 days, and very light at that -- worst on 15th & 16th
