Same -- Bed 12 -- No bad nose, no itchy sore eyes, no sneezing, no hay fever -- merely resultant cough showing passing away down through lungs, and eyes still rather weak & watery -

Monday Sept 23

Clear warmer & very pleasant -- 1st day of State Fair at Reno, for the week -- special train over the V & T RR $1 for round trip from Va and all other points -- special Fair train down & back each day -- Only about 50 on this morning train -- 2 coaches -- Rec'd letter from Lizzie in reply to my "Wildcat Joe" letter -- 5 pages -- nice letter -- sent it to wife -- Bed at 12 -- bad catheter -- Big tent show came to town & exhibited 1st time this evening, for a week or more -- Vivian De Monto's Superb Company, dramatic, variety, song, dance, acrobatic, medicine selling, etc -- 15 cts admission -- said to be very good -- Had good audience -- 2 more cases Indian School smallpox -- 14 --
