Dear Joan --
Am sure you & 100 other people completely baffled by our wedding announcement because of the Patricia instead of Jill -- but anyway -- couldn't be happier! -- Bill is simply marvelous -- a bachelor for 39 years & one I've known for 10 1/2 years --
The whole series of events quite amusing -- with John & another guy on the hook & no intentions on my part of doing anything -- then whamo -- decided on a Saturday & was married the next Friday with mother & daddy

unreachable in South America & my brother running the show etc.
Bill moved into my apt so now just a slight kitchen alteration to make room for his dark-room this summer & we're all set. The boys all like him & hes great with them. Just one of those odd men who happens to like children. He spends more time calming me down when I'm blasting them than anyone -- their father included -- I've ever seen. Marvelous sense of humor -- with J. Walter Thomson on the broadcasting end. & so I've been told by many females -- THE catch in Town!

among other accounts -- so hope to be going to the coast in Aug if schedules can be arranged -- Maybe a quick stop in San Francisco where you might be able to sneak away for a night? --
Had lunch with Gynne last week -- great fun & good to see her -- She looks fine & seems busy & happy -- having just come back from a weeks stay with Neil in Florida!
