2 lbs raisins stoned 2 lbs Currants washed and dried 1 lb. flour sugar butter and eggs 2 nutmegs a little allspice and cloves 1/2 lb citron cut into a half a glass of wine and brandy mixed. some flour kept to mix the fruit in. This quantity makes but one very large cake.

Pour a half pint of Gin on the outer peel of a Lemon, then a little Lemon juice, Sugar, a glass of Maraschino, about a pint & a quarter of Water and two bottles of iced Soda Water.

(Signed) Thea Hook Three pints of punch thus made N.W. Two thirds of a pint of Water is better than a pint & a quarter. Serve, cold with a little ice in your glass.
