On honest Labors sultry hours,
The rich reward of all his toils.
While Those whom Honors "sacred" Laws
Had doomed to follow hateful War,
Return to meet deserved applause,
On Victorys swift rolling car.
Return to dry the falling tear,
In the fond eye of timid love,
Return to banish grief and fear,
And every blissful feeling prove.
Such is thy reign O gentle Power!
And such the blessings in thy train,
Grateful I hail the happy hour,
And tune to Thee the votive Strain..
