Far from the Mothers heart each anxious care
May Fancy on rosy dreams alone
With mild Elizabeth the vision share
And in a Daughters pleasures find her own
And Thou first known, first lov'd, my earliest Friend
Be fair as thy deserts the festive scene
Each Wish fulfilled, content at last attend
Tho' transient summer clouds may intervene
Steal on the peaceful current of your days
Like some pure Stream their gently gliding cause,
While mine in other Lands a wanderer strays,
Smoothing the tremblous waves that swelled their Source
