nothing toward the canvass. Nisland was fully
canvassed after I was there last summer and
8 or 10 names were sent in from a far away
point in the county which had previously been
wholly inactive thus giving cheer to Mrs Lang.
This time got Belle Fourche canvassed and
"postered" the slide at the theatre. Mrs. Pettigrew
was very kind and helpful and has promised
as soon as husband, who is in Minneapolis, re-
turn she will drive over the county -- scatter
publicity- put up posters etc. Here again
the money for limited expenditure at home
will be dug up.
Mrs. Reuman is have a group of
the faithful only, tonight to see what can be
done. Mrs. Yates has promised to help
in going over the County and will give a
little but Mrs R will be able to report more
adquately upon that.
No supplies of posters, window cards, printed amendments
or buttons have been sent to Mrs. Reuman.
Guess she thinks it's because she's sent no money
to liquidate.
Tell Mrs. Meyer the mail to Rapid is
all right. I'm trying to keep a forwarding address
with them. Will be in Hot Springs Tues & Wed.
With love and haste
Rene E.H. Stevens
P.S
Got Mrs. Lang and Mrs. Small to go
Newell for a Harvest supper that would draw the surrounding country,
take petitions, "lit" posters etc - the evening I come away - last night
