October 10th, 1918.
Mrs. Halsey Wilson,
Sioux Falls,
South Dakota.
My dear Mrs. Wilson,
It in with the keenest regret that
I find it impossible to meet you in Sioux Falls. It has
required my close attention here to make arrangements
for the changes for the meetings caused by Mrs. Catts
illness. Then two of my best co workers have both been
taken sick and that throws the office work back on me.
It is too critical to leave the office, at this time,
when so much needs attention.
Because of the prevailing sickness
it has been necessar to cancel three of the scheduled
dates and as the arrangements now stand your next date
after Sioux Falls will be Mitchell on Sunday Night the
13th. Where you will speak at a Union Sunday Evening meeting.
Mrs. Levitt relieved the situatlon by saying that
they would make use of you in their County. It is too
bad not ot have been able to have spread your services
over wider territory but the notice was very short and
there was not time to make the arrangements.
I will write you again at Mitchell.
The Yankton Date had to be cancelled on account of
contagion.
Sincerely,
