I am now past the age of nine. I
am in the 4th grade. The 4th grade is
very hard. I have had a bad cold now
for seven days. I have
lots of medicines next to my bed. I read
and do needlework in bed. Doctor
Pisk comes to see me every day. My
Mama sleeps in the room with me now
and Lucy sleeps in Papa’s room
and in Käthe’s room. Mama sleeps on
our carpet bed and doesn’t rest especially
well there. Mama takes my temperature constantly.
I will probably have to stay in bed all
week long. Next
Monday, I think, I will
be able to go to school. On February 13 we
got our report cards.
