June 19. Monday.
At 4 a.m the janitor’s wife rang me up. It is my
turn again for night’s [strikethrough] watch [/strikethrough] vigil, but this time I
did not know it ahead, I hope, I did not make
a too stupid face too it.

The robots seem to do [strikethrough] a lot of damage [/strikethrough] in England,
as the B.B.C. is weaker on the shortwaves then
are the Russian, even German transmissions
tonight.

Last night’s rain has stopped and a wonderful
freshness is in the air and as my small
balcony “garden”. This weather will help a lot
with my [strikethrough] belated [/strikethrough] late planted flowers on the family plot
too, I hope.

At 5 a.m. [strikethrough] I have to notice [/strikethrough] heavy air transport
[strikethrough] aircraft [/strikethrough] overhead, this time from east to west.
