Orofino, Idaho, Sept, 12. 1915.
Governor Spry.
Salt Lake City.
Utah.
Dear Sir.
As I am in possession of some facts concerning
the case of Joe Hill defendent; who is to be executed
on Oct I 1st#.which is stirring up considerable
interest in this comunity, as it looks
very much like a consiercy to get rid of the ##
man on account ofhis activity as A revolutionist.

I do not believe he has had A fair trial.
I have learned that the jurors have not been
selected in the usual way.
The defendent was practically without council
when he was on trial for his life.

No motive was shown for the crime for which he
was convicted.
The conviction was found upon the flimsiest kind
of circumstantial evidence.
Believing these to be facts:I demand that the d
death sentence in the case of Joseph Hillstrom
be set aside ,and clemency extended.

Yours Respectfully.
