The Diary of the City Council of Spring City {1}
No. 1 Commencing January 30, 1871
The City Council of Spring City Viz. R.N. Allred, J.M Behunnin, S. R. Frost, John Frantzen & A. Acord, being qualified met pursuant to an appointment by the Mayor, James A. Allred.
An Ordinance was drafted appointing city officers and on motion by R.N Allred and seconded by J. Frantzen was accepted and passed by the council Adjourned till Wednesday Evening Feb. 1. 1871 6.OC {2)}Feb. 1st /71 at 6. P.M. The City Council met pursuant to adjournment. An Ordinance was drafted regulating Bonds and on motion by R. N. Allred and seconded by J. Larsen was accepted and passed by the council. Adjourned till Feb 4, 1871. 6. P.M. {3)}Feb 4th 1871. 6. O.C. P.M. The City Council met pursuant to adjournment. Several subjects were spoken upon and the council adjourned till Feb. 8. 1871. {4)}Feb. 8th. 1871. 6.O.C P.M. The City Council met pursuant to adjournment. An Ordinance dividing the city into wards and regulating the water and the water courses there of was drafted and da..ing the second reading the Council adjourned till Friday the 10th of Feb. 6. P.M.
