Also resolved the taxes of Spring City be assessed upon all taxable
property within the limits of the corporation at one half of one per cent.
Motioned by J. F. Allred and seconded by H. [O. Ungerman] that thirty
three dollars in grain at the price it was taken for taxes for the
year 1876 be appropriated to pay those who helped survey the
water canals on or about the 18th day of December 1876.

J. F. Allred offered his resignation as city councilor & city atourney
asking that the same might be granted.

Motioned by C. W. Moore and seconded C. G. Larsen that his request
be granted; granted by the council.

Resolved by the council that the Mayor & Recorder acknowledge
the receipt of the copy of the city ordinances of Provo City presented
by the City Council of Provo City. Prayer by Lauritz Larsen.

June 19th Granted a butcher's license to [Acord & Blak by me]. Adjourned Sine Die

The city council held a session by request of the Maypr.

for inspection & acceptance. Accepted.

J. F. Allred asked permission to lay poles on the sidewalk near his
house. Granted. Ten dollars was appropriated for J. T. Ellis as [boot]
between certain city lots. Closing prayer by C. G. Larsen,

The council was in session. Prayer by C. G. Larsen.

The council gave direction to the Head Watermaster to call the sub
watermasters together and ascertain whether there was any
water to be spared from their several ditches to flow down the natural
cbanel of canal creek. C. G. Larsen motioned that the water be stopped from flooding
