Council met in the tithing office.
Mayor Larson presiding, Prayer by Jos. H
Allred. Neil P. Neilson. applied for a
licience to sell merchandize for a period
of six (6) months, dating from April 1st. 1879
which was granted on payment of seven
and fifty hundreds Doll. ($7.50/100)
The subject of controlling the water for the
benefit of those owing land in the enclosed
field was discussed. It was agreed that
a mass meeting of the citizens of Spring
City should be held on thursday Mayor for the
purpose of discussing the water question.
The Recorder was instructed to post protices
regarding said meeting.
A petition was read from Geo. Broughs asking
the previladge of transferring his sight of 20
acres of water from a ditch in the old field
to the old Ephraim ditch owned by George W.
Brough and others.
A petition from Wm. Hudson was, read, asking
that every place where water is taken across the
wide walks should be covered over. Both petitions
for want of time were laid over.
Prayer by the Mayor. Council adjourned
for one week. 20
