Spring City, June. 28th, 1881.
The council met in the Meeting House, Mayor
Justesen presiding. Roll called. Quorum present.
Prayer by Councilor F. Olsen. The former minutes
read and accepted. A brother was present from
Ephain to ask for a little water to be turned
down Pigeon Hollow. the Mayor & T. B. Allred
were appointed to see the head watermaster and
ascertain if a little water could be spared.
The committee to buy the land from J.
Johnson reported, that the land can be had for
Fifty Dollars down and Fifty dollars in five
months from the 1st of July A. D. 1881. and the
Mayor sign a note for the payment of that
amount. Fifty Dollars was appropriated to
pay J. Johnson a part on the land.
The Mayor was to see L. Christiansen and see
if he would serve as Street Supervisor. The
report of the finance committee was read
and accepted, and the amount of $62.10 was
appropriated to meet said report.
