Benediction by the Mayor R. Justeson J.T Alfred city recorder. Spring City Apr. 26. 1881 The council met in the Tithing Office by order of the Mayor, balled to order by the Mayor. Rollcalled Luorum present. Prayer by the Mayor minutes of the farmer meeting read and accepted. The Mayor stated the object of the meeting which was to hear the report of the Head Watermaster, but he had not yet come in. do, do aresen in behalf of Jacob Johnson asked for a transfer of 5 acres of water from the horth field to the flat granted. The Head watermaster having came in repasted. reparted the condition of the main dithes. Said it would require 10 days labor on Cedar Creek. and 1 day to 20 acres of land on Canal x Oak Creeks. also a little repairing of gates. The repart of 8 acres of water from the Lehinney to the little field granted. The Mayor in behalf of Oeter pusteson asked for a transfer of his water from the Lehinney and 15 acres of water was granted, J.B. Allred in behalf of Samuel Allred asked for a transfer of 5 acres from Oak Creek and 5 acres from the little to the Crawforth. diteh granted.

May 10, 1881. Spring City, May 10, 1881. The Council met by call of the Mayor. Roll called quorum present. Prayer by John Schofield. Minutes of the former meeting read and accepted. S. R. Aiken asked for a transfer of fifteen acres of water right. from the old field to the grove ditch at Pigeon Hallow. granted.

Mads Nielson asked for a transfer of 12 acers of water right from the old field on Cedar Creek to the north of Oak Creek out side of the field. granted. Samuel King asked for a transfer of 8 acres of from the Chimney to the flat. granted. Siverene Jensen asked for a transfer of 10 acres of water right from Oak Creek to the outside of the field north of Oak Creek. granted. Niels C. Nielson asked for a transfer of 2 1/2 acres of water right from the North field to one of the city lots. granted Charles Marenus Peterson asked for a transfer of 2 1/2 acres of water right from the North field to one of the city lots. granted. also 1 acre from the forks and 1/2 acher from the hosth field to the outside of the field south of Oak Creek. granted.

adjourned untill Wednesday 8 PM. Dismissed by L. Larsen. L. Larsen clerk Pro. Tery. J. F. Allred City Recorder. June 23, 1881 The Council met in the Tithing Office. Moved that Councilor F. Olsen preside, carried. Roll called. Quorum present. Prayer by J. M. Allred. Minutes of the former meeting read and accepted Niels P. Nielsen was present and asked for a Mercantile license. A license was granted to Niels P. Nielsen for twelce months for the sum of twelce dolalrs beginning Jan. 26 1881 & ending Jan. 26 1882. The committee that was appointed to examine the land of Jacob Johnson reported that they had examined the land and it is better than they expected. It was then moved that the city buy the land and that the mayor, John Schofield and J. B. Allred be a committee to make arraingments for and buy said land from Jacob Johnson. Moved that a license to granted to R. W. Allred Sr. and W. M. Allred to sell beef for three months from June 25th 1881 to Sept 25th 1881 for $2.50. Moved that a settlement be made with the council at meeting adjourned to June 28, 1881 Prayer by F. Olsen.

Spring City, June. 28th. 1881. The council met in the Meeting house, Mauor Justesen presiding. Roll called. Quorum present. Prayer by Councilor F. Olsen. The former minutes read and accepted. A brother was present from Ephain to ask for a little water to be turned down Pigeon Hollow. the Mayor & J. B. Allred were appointed to see the head watermaster and ascertain if a little water could be spared. The committee to buy the land from J. Johnson reported, that the land can be had for Fifty Dollars down and Fifty dollars in five months from the 1st of July A. D. 1881. and the Mayor sign a note for the payment of that amount. Fifty Dollars was appropriated to pay J. Johnson a part on the land. the Mayor was to see L. christiansen and see if he would serve as Street Supervisor. The report of the finance commuttee was erad and accepted, and the amount of $62.10 was appropriated to meet said report. Adjourned Sine Die. J. F. allred City Recorder.

50cents were appropriated to pay for a lock which the watermaster had bought. A resoluteion was passed naming the price of grain to be taken on city tones as follows: wheat 60 cts. bw. Ots 1 1/2 cts. per lb. The tax roll was read by the assessor and accepted by the council. the taxes of S. R. Aikins and Peter Lorrenson Sr. were remitted for the year 1881. Ajourned to Saturday 2. P. M. Oct 15th as a day of equalization. Dismissed by J. B. Allred.

Oct. 15. 1881. Saturday Oct. 15th. 1881. The coucil met. Mayor Justesen presiding. Roll called. Quorum present. Prayer by H. O. Unyerman. A butchers License was applied for in behalf of R. W. Allred. granted for $2.50 for three months from Sept. 25th. to Dec. 25. 1881. It was moved that Louis christiansen be appointed Street Supervisor, carried. It was then moved and carried taht the taxes of the following persons be remitted for the year 1881. Niels Burrison. J. R. Baxter. Adolph Thompson. Joseph Brodbent. P. E. Kofford, John Robinson Sr. Rasmus Rasmusen. Adolph stratte $ 1. adjourned dismissed by F. Olsen.

Oct. 29. 1881. The Couuncil met Mayor Justesen Presiding. Roll called. Quorum present. Prayer by J. B. allred minutes of the 2 former meetings read and accepted. the Subject of Jacob Johnson being employed as city attorney was discussed. Moved

Allred see Jacob Johnson and make arrangements to secure his services as city attorney and the council he bound by said arraingment. carried. adjourned. Sine die. Dismissed by councilor L. Larsen. Spring City, Nov. 3rd. 1881. Nov. 3. 1881 the council met pursuant to adjournment. Mayor. Justesen presiding. Roll called. Quorum present. Prayer by L. Larsen. Minutes of the former meeting read and accepted. the committee that was to see Jacob Johnson reported as follows: Jacob Johnson would serve as city attorney for twelve months beginning Nov. 1st. 1881. for the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.) He would give any required informaiton to the city officers, but any appeals to the District Court special arraingements must be made, and also for drafting Ordinances. Report accepted. Adjourned to Tuesday Oct. 8th. 1881. dismissed by J. M. Allred. J. F. Allred. Recorder

It was moved and carried that the Liquor ordinance be taken up and considered. Moved taht the City attorney fix an amendment to the Liquor ordinance. carried.

An Ordinance was passed amending Ordinance No. 81. Prohibiting the sale of Liquors. An Ordinance was passed in relation to Prisoners. Adjourned to Tuesday Dec. 6th. 1887. Dismissed by Sanford Allred. J. F. Allred City Recorder.

Spring City. Dec. 6. 1881. The council met pursuant to adjournment. Mayor Justesen presiding. Roll called. Quorum present. Prayer by Mayor Justesen. Minutes of the former meeting read and accepted. A committee consisting of J. M. Allred and Lourty Larsen was appointed to get a falt of land bought from J. Johnson and see about the streets &c. 50c was appropriated to buy paper. A committee consisting of H. O. Ungerman, J. M. Allred, and John Schofield was appointed to see about getting rock on the grounds for a City Hall. Adjourned Sine Die. dismissed by John Schofield. Spring city Feb. 14. 1882 Feb. 14. 82. The City Council met in the Tithing Office Mayor Justesen presiding. Roll called. Quorum present. Prayer by J. B. Allred. Minutes of the former meeting read and accepted. the question of issueing livenses was talked about and the form of issuing the same.

A petition from Jacob Johnson was read asking for the privilege of erecting a Wagon Scale on Washington Street which was laid on the table.

It was moved and carried that Louis Christianson be appointed Head Watermaster for Spring City. An Ordinance was passed appointing Louis Christianson Head Watermaster adjourned for one week. Benediction by Learson.

Jan31. 82.

Spring City, Jan 31, 1882, The City Council met in the Tithing Office Mayor Justeren presiding. Roll called. Duorun present. Prayer by H.O. Ungerman. Minutes of the former meeting read and accepted. The committee that was to see about the land that was purchased from J. Kohnson reported that there were some blacks laid out in the said land. Mr. Augustr Anderson was present and asked for a mercantile license, which was granted for one year for the 1st day of Jan. 1882 to the 1st day of Jan 1883 for the sum of ($20.00) twenty dollars.

The committee was to see about the rock for a city hall talked about their duties and said hall. Moved and carried that $50 be appropriated to pay J. Johnson the balance for the land bought of him. Adjourned for two weeks. Benediction by T.B. Allred.

218 Spring City, April 25, 1885. Council met at the residence of John. L. Allred Mayor Christiansen presiding Roll called. Quorum present. Prayer by Councilor R. W.Allred. Minutes of former meeting read and accepted. S.E.Allred of the Judicial Committee stated that the committee had procured an ordinance on revenue. The new ordinance on revenue was read. The resignation of William H.Allred as Assessor and collector was read and accepted It was moved, seconded, and carried that Hemming Hansen be appointed Assessor and collector for Spring City An ordinance was passed appointing Hemming Hansen Assessor and collector for Spring City.
