A MEMORIAL TO THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES, PETI-
TIONING THE GOVERNMENT TO PASS THE FEDERAL
SUFFRAGE AMENDMENT

To the Senate and House of Representatives of the United
States in Congress assembled:

Your memorialists, the Governor and Legislature of
the State of Utah, respectfully represent that,

Whereas, the Federal Amendment to grant the right
of suffrage to women equally with men has been before
the Congress of the United States for the past forty
years; and

Whereas, the women of the non-suffrage States feel
that the time is come when the Congress should give fav-
orable consideration to this measure of justice to one-
half the citizens of these United States.

Now therefore the Governor and the Legislature of
the State of Utah respectfully petition that the said
suffrage amendment receive favorable consideration be-
fore the 64th session of Congress adjourns.

J.W. Frank
President of the Senate.

J. T. Tolton
Speaker of the House.
