two weeks. They poot a couple of tables in the hut and they bring our meals over to us. I suppose that you you will have read Fran's letter by the time you receive this, so I need not tell you about the journey over here which I enjoyed very much. This is quite a country around here. It is all hills and valleys and the views from the top of some of the hills are grand. The other day I went for a walk and from the top of one of the hills I could see the villages of Haselmere, Hammer and Shottermill encluding about six miles of valley. Yesterday we went for a route march and we crossed an estate which took us over a [crossed out] hour. There is not very much to do around here but to go for a walk. There are just little coffee houses and stores and they certainly soak soldiers. I received a letter from Elsie Sawtell yesterday and she envited me down to her place at Cheriton Folkestone, Kent and I am going down when I get a pass. It was very kind of her. (eh)
