1867 Dec 6 Mother returned from Sandy H. this morning
Arthur is no better. We fear he is dangerously
sick. May God save his life we most
humbly pray. Augustus and Sophie
arrived this morning from the South
Snow is falling p.m. and a boisterous
gale is blowing from the South West
The cattle are yarded and sheltered from
the blast and probably no more pasture
for them till the spring time comes again Had the mare shod p.m. 8/-
7 Arthur is better this morning
Joe telegraphed early & got answer
Went for supplies salt feed &c to Fort Ed.
Sandy H. p.m. with M. Arthur continues
better and it is plain to be seen in the
faces which surround him. Aug. and
Sophie are there to cheer and assist him M. staid to watch over him to night
The day is cold with gusts of wind
8 Sun. Clear and cold. Mercury at zero
Frank to dinner. He went for Mother.
Arthur continues better and we trust he out of danger now
