Drove the mare to Sandy H. p.m. in company with
Arthur driving his bare foot filly
2 Sun. Pleasant. Went to the funeral p.m.
of the good old man J. Ellis who for
more than 25 years has been our neighbor
His remains were taken to the Baptist church
and the ceremonies of the funeral were arranged very creditably & well
He was buried in the cemetery and not
far from where we shall one day lay
