APPLICATION FOR PERMIT ADDITIONS ALTERATIONS OR REPLAIR:

Application is hereby made for the approval of this detailed statment together
with the plans and Specifications herewith submitted, and for a Permit to erect
structure herein described.

The acceptance of the permit of the permit herein applied for, shall constitute an
agreement on my part to abide by all the conditions therein containedl and to
comply with all Ordinances of the City of Charlottesville and laws of the State of [illigilbe]
relating to the work to be done thereunder, and said agreement is a condition of said
permit.

COUNCIL CHAMBER AUGUST 6, 1923.
The Council met in regular session on this date with the following
members present, Messers. Brown and Joachim.

Mr. Kaufman requested that an appropriation of $1500.00 be made to
defray the expenses of the Municipal band for the year ending August 31, 1924.
Same was referred to the Finance Committee.

Bills of $2.50 each from M. F. Greaver and J. C. Marsh were persented
and approved for payment for killing two unknown dogs.

The following petition was referred to the City Manager.

To the Honorable Commissioners and the City Manager
of the City of Charlottesville, Va.

We, the undersigned property owners and resident of that part of
High Street which lies between Altamont Circle and Preson Avenue, hereby petition
that you give attention to the very bad and dangerous condition of the Street
lying as above mentioned. This portion of street serves and should serve well, if
put in proper condition, as a detour to Main and as a prevention of congestion at the
