My dear Mrs. Miller,

The Rev. Mr. Alvord has called to inform
me that he is going to St. Petersburg. But I
have only time to write a few lines.

We are in usual health. I lost my oldest
son last August, but God has wonderfully
sustained us all.

I send you six or eight copies of a
pamphlet, containing a notice of the marriage
of the Grand Duchess Olga, which I have
written, & which has been widely circulated.
Please keep a copy for yourself, give one
to Mrs. Michelson, & give the rest to the
Grand Duchess of Oldenburg, (for the Imperial
Family), to whom I desire my most respectful
salutations. I am sorry that I can
write no more. Did you receive the books I
sent you last year? Please write soon.

Yours very truly as ever
[N.?] [Baird]

Kindest regards to Mrs
Michelson.—
