Pursuant to letters missine an Ecclesiastical Council comended in the Vestry of the Phillips Church, South Boston, March 24th 1852 at 3 o'clock. On motion Rev. N. Adams D. D. was appointed Moderator & Rev. R. W. Clark, scribe. The following Pastors & Delegates were present. From Old South Church Boston - Rev. G. W. Blagden D. D. Pastor - Bro. Geo. H. Bigelow Delegate Park St. Church - Bro. Luther Barnes Delegate Essex St. Church - Rev. N. Adams ^{D. D.} Pastor - [Dra.?] Geo. W. Thayer Delegate Bowdoin St. Church - Rev. J. B. Waterbury D. D. feelings of this people and the generous sympathy of their numerous friends in other Churches we are sure will not allow them to forget this beloved & faithful servant at the present time. May this Church & Society be directed of Heaven in the speedy reestablishment of the ministry among them. (The Council take great pleasure in bearing testimony to the unblemished moral, christian, & ministerias character of Rev. W. Alvord, and, should he regain his health, they are sure that any Church & Society who may avail themselves of his labours will find in him an able & faithful minister of Christ. signed, N.
