Banner &c & they'll get an advertisement
Sunday night I assure you. His speech
will, no doubt, be ours two days latter
& these little red fellows will be held of
as the annunciation used. The Banner
too will unfurl. It took with him won-
derfully. He could never end giving
them, right & left, from the carriage until our stock
was exhausted. Will you furnish the
Young Men of Phil with these things
sat at cost? He wants to know. Please
write him. This was one reason why he
took the samples. Thought he could persuade
them to adopt these rather than to publish
themselves. His sympathies are much more
strongly with us on the subject of slavery
than I had supposed -- hoping & praying that
the abominable thing will pass away before
the progress of this war. By the way he says
you must change the name of the Banner,
(a number of gentlemen within a day or two have said the same
thing) all simultaniously -- something they say more military.
I think you better do it. Indeed I have had to say
we intended to do so. "Patriot Banner, &C." will do, & then
say beneath In the name of the Lord. I will press up-
on Brown, Mr. Stuart would be satisfied with this
and all others I [illegible]. This appears like a small thing
but under the circumstances is quite important.
