Minutes of March the 8th 1881 Meetin was called to order by Revd Benjamin Gray by singing from the [Bapats?] hyman book & chapter read. on motion Benjamin Porter was elected chairman, and W N Gordon was elected Secretary. Jas. Price was elected pro tem Treasurer it was resolved that any member paying his money in the assiciation and he not or cabbit become an Odd fellow. his money shall be refunded, further shall meet on Saturday night before the Second Sunday.

On motion it was resolved that D Roe shall be out door watcher; also it was resolved that M T Thompson shall be sexton. Also that W. G. Gray, W M Reeaves and Jas Price be committed to get permission to hold our meeting in church. After which Adjourned

Saturday night March the 13th /80. The Association met at 9 P.M. Chairman, Secretary & treasurer present, on motion minutes of last meeting were read. & approved at was made a law that we

(March the 13th continued) Shall meet at 8 O clock P.M. It was made a law that if any member stay out after the lodge is close later than 8 P.M. shall be fined ten cents. After which the constitution was read, A committee of 5 were appointed to inquire as to fit persons to be made odd fellow - as follows A Arrington, W. N. Fordon Miner Jackson, & Jas Price and that we shall meet second Saturday night in May for contribution; and we shall meet sec Saturdat night in April. The meeting adjourned

Minutes of Easter Monday 2[9?]th March The association meet at 10 O clock A.M. On motion Jas Price appointed chairman who called the meeting to order by singing after which the list of [illegible?] read names were added.

On motion Benja T James was ask to give a short discourse upon the benefits of societies. On motion made & resolved that any person going out without [illegible?] shall be fined; or any one interesting or interrepting

The Madison Friendship Lodge. Proceedings as follows.

Elder Benja Gray was move the office of N. F to W Chaplain and M F Weaver was elected instead So M. F. Weaver is N. F. Abram Johnson elected Warden, Thos Hill elected for inside guardian Miner Jackson elected outside guardian W. N. Gordon elected for V. G. his Supporters elected J. G. Gordon & Payton Smith Jas Price elected for V G his supporters Selected Wm Reeves Re Sam Puge B. Angus Arrington elected Treasurer N V Porter elected permanent Secretary Ben F James elected Elective Secretary A committee of 3 was appointed to see after lumber, and [repraising?] of house of Dudly Gordon's committee chosen Wm Reeves, Jas Price, D.N F Weaver Adjourned

Proceedings continued of the 13 22 nd It was further ordered that the clerk shall get a book to record the business and transaction of of the lodge in. The building committee give acct of their business; which was the procuring of lumber + repairing the house of Mrs. Dudley Gordon's to order, purchase all necessary things from the Store. The bill of expences was taken up of which amounted to 3 dols + 14 cts.

The following is the workmen's bill. From the 5th 1880.

Wm. M. Reeves work four days for the Lodge + four days for G. Gordon @ $1.25 per day, 4 days @ 4 day @ $1.25 = 10 dols.

Jos. Price work four days for the Lodge + five days for G. Gordon, @ $1.00 per day. Mr. G. Gordon is charged for 5 7 3 ft planks. The Lodge is charged with 6 lbs nails @ 5 ct per lb = 30 cents. Done by order and committee @. M. Reeves

The young men appealed to the order for use of hall. It was suggested that they be referred to the building committee and what ever they did would b e satisfactory with the Lodge.

There being no farther business the body adjourned

Madison, C.H. Va Aug. 9, 1919

Initition meeting of the Madison Friendship Lodge no. 2121 conveined on the above given date with Bro. Wm. O. Campbell acting N.G. in place of Bro. Jos. Price. The house was open for business during which time, it was motioned and carried that, the communication from Bro. Henry Smith W.P.R. of Liberty Lodge no. 2340, Pittsburg, Pa, be received and adapted.

Motioned and carried that the correspondence from Hon. J. Finley Wilson, of Washington DC. who is to [p speak?] to us on the 16th of this month, be received.

Bro. C. L. Weaver, from West Grove Lodge no. 5459 West Grove, Pa was reinstated on the above date in to the Madison Friendship Lodge no. 2121.

This being initiating meeting, the two candidates who rose up for initiating, were balloted for and accepted. The house was made ready for initiating.

Madison, C H.V.A. Nov. 13, 1919 Call meeting of the Madison Friendship Lodge No. 2121 was held the above date with Bro. [?] C. Gordon Act'g N.G. After proper ceremonies the house was opened for business.

Motioned and carried that the installation of the new officers [be put off] who were elected at the Oct. meeting for V.G. & E.S. be postponed until Dec. meeting and have a general intalation of all officers.

Motioned and carried that a committee of two, Bro M. Campbell and Chas. Hill be appointed to arrange for the Xmas dinner with the asst. of a sub-comm. if desired.

Motion by Bro C.L. Weaver and properly seconded: That we shall have an oyster dinner and extend an invitation to Dr. Jackson of Orange, Va. to speak to us on that day and have moving pictures at night [?] the order.

Motioned by Bro Hill properly seconded: that the meeting

19 Madison C.H. Va Dec 11th 1919 The last monthly meeting of the Madison Friendship Lodge 2121 for 1919 convened on the above date with Bro. W. O. Campbell act'g N.G. After proper ceremonies the house was open for business.

The business left over from previous meetings, namely steps until Dec. meeting was still tabled to Jan. meeting.

The election of officers being in order [the] Bro. E. C. Gordon moved that candidates be elected from the floor. motion carried.
